The Future

“The best way to keep children at home is to make the home atmosphere pleasant, and let the air out of the tires.”
Sweet baby Kennedy has been moving up a storm lately.  My ever growing belly and constant movement has me really excited to meet her.  I wonder if I will always remember this feeling I get when she is tossing and turning in there?  Its like I can't imagine not having it or feeling my belly to see if I can find where she is.

A lovely Charlotte and Vero Beach baby shower have left me with oodles of goodies and adorable clothes to put on Kennedy.  The newborn items are so tiny and the 24 months items leave me longing for her to never be that big.  This time with her as a baby is going to fly by in a wink! Strangers and friends informed me to take countless photos and videos of her during her 1st year.  This will be no problem.

While in Vero, my mother brought out a huge truck filled with baby clothes of mine.  From ruffles, matching bloomers, Christmas dresses, and adorable items.  Some I remember from pictures and others leave me baffled I myself was ever small enough to fit into them.  I look forward to seeing Kennedy in those same clothes.

Oh! There's a kick to the ribs! Time to get back to work.

Thanksgiving

Vero Beach for the holiday! I realize I haven't been home for Thanksgiving in 5 years.  It was wonderful being there to see family and friends.  Also, to be able to share with everyone Kennedy's growing self!

This was no restful trip to VB.  We took advantage of every moment!! Volunteering, going through my baby clothes, volunteering, Black Friday shopping, baking, baby shower, bar hoping, and chasing Polo away from the cows!  Oh and the weather in Florida was dreamy.  High 60's/low 70's everyday!  What a wonderful Trip.
Mom and I volunteered at a Soup Kitchen on Thanksgiving morning. It was wonderful and of course they put me on dessert duty!! Not where we needed to be at all.
Thanksgiving at Bitchy and Chris's. I love Polo's expression!
Finally let Ryan out of the house! Out in Vero Friday night.
Lovely Friends to play with
Vero Beach Ba-bee shower! Polo was a hit in his little bee costume.
Engagements, weddings, and now babies... love these girls!

Camping and Asheville

Being 7 months pregnant, I thought it would be a perfect time to go camping! I mean not only that but November is the ideal time of year to make this happen, right? :)

So we packed up the car, grabbed some friends (and Polo), and hit the road to Cherokee, NC.  Ryan has always spoke of his adventures camping with his family growing up and how he would love to share this with our family one day.
We made a pit-stop in Asheville to see the Christmas parade and play with some favorites along the journey.
The weather was perfect with the crisp mid-50's and sunny skies.  We stayed for most of the parade, but it was never-ending!

No stop in Asheville feels complete without a drop-by the Biltmore! We finished lunch downtown and stopped in for a few pictures.

Bernard and Polo loved every moment together! :)
Now on to Camping! Back in the car we went and continued on our way before nightfall.  We stopped in Cherokee for food (hotdogs, s'mores... the regular campfire grub) and went to check-in!

Yeah- Ryan and I look like Locals. :)

Our House!

To the left of us- we are getting neighbors!

Just wanted to show you an update!

1 Year Anniversary :)

Hard to believe it's been a year since Ryan and I said "I Do".  So much has happened over this year and am lucky to have him by my side to share it with.   We realize this will be our only anniversary without children.  Funny how that happened! :)

Year old cake wasn't half bad! Could be my pregnant taste-buds however. :)

Saw a cute idea that you take a picture every year on your anniversary.  So next year, we will be holding this picture and so on along the years.

Happy 1st Anniversary, Honey.  Here's to forever more!

Home is where the Heart is!

"A house is made of walls and beams;  a home is built with love and dreams."

Our home is coming together, so much planning and stress is actually beginning to take shape!
